History:
Dalmatians were historically used as carriage dogs.
Description:
Dalmatians are prized for their unique coloration and are generally spirited pets. However, overbreeding due to popularity has resulted in deafness and temperment problems in some lines. In general, dogs with pigment around their ears and eyes are at lower risk for deafness.
