A curly kitten was discovered in Devon and eventually bred to a Cornish Rex. Since the resulting kittens were flat-coated, it was concluded that different genes were at work. The Devon Rex was developed as a separate breed.

Description:

Devon Rexes are unique looking cats, even despite their fur type. They are constantly demanding attention and very intelligent and playful, making them a little higher maintenence then many breeds.
